The aeonian love story

Disclaimer : Don’t pass it on for yet another  valentine’s day special post, rather a true story to salute the eternal love between the protagonists.

Long ago, a public servant, rather too strict on principles gives his daughters’ hand to an engineer with a PSU. This is the provenance of the tale!

(Those days, engineers, doctors, and government sector employees were considered the best-of-the-rest as prepatent grooms! Hope, I had been an engineer born during that GOLDEN AGE! 😛 ) .

The girl, she had to cease her higher studies as per her dad’s wish, lucky enough to have completed her graduation (This was the time when Amrish Puri of DDLJ was yet to appear!)

The boy, an identity of simplicity with unparalleled probity & character, responsibility & intellect desired for a life-partner who would fit in the jig-saw of his life(God did listen to him, Read on)

However, she was insouciant  & of-course given away her heart, hoping that the next days of her life would indoctrinate  an amative vicissitude. (So was it, read on) .

Post marriage, they moved to where the Hero worked, which was the picturesque hilly township suffused in the lap of nature(It isn’t  Kashmir!, a rather nondescript town called Sunabeda, located in Odisha! ).

The man of her dreams, not only encouraged her to pursue a career, rather made sure all things desiderate to her, lie on deck . So much so, that after their first child was born, who was naughty ethereal, he used to drive them on the faithful Bajaj Priya, around 30kms downhill to the district’s commercial HQ so that she could sit for Banking & other exams.

As with most households of those time, the heroine decided to relinquish her career and be the biggest support that her hero needs and gradually the trips to exam centers were recouped  by ones to nearby tourist places, the lone movie hall of the township etc.

(The Bajaj Priya had the English Meaning of the Heroines name engraved on the nameplate, only to be painted upon later when the kids started growing up! 😛 )

Now, there was only one aim for both of them, to give their kids the best of upbringing, education and make sure that their future is shaped perfectly. Then, came the second child, and this two brothers, right from the start made sure that their parents convictions are put to tough test (Literally!).

Be it attending the complaints from teachers, making the Science Projects, preparing elocution speeches, be it spending sleepless nights to make the naughty kids sleep to sweet lullabies,or working hard in the kitchen to prepare dishes they loved, be it spending the little time after office teaching them ride cycles, or missing cricket matches or soap operas to teach them for the tests tomorrow, they reified their sagacious decision.

So,was there love in between? Is it a love story then?

LOVE, is something which lies more in actions and emotions rather than the nugatory practices of today, which is more meant towards fulfilling one naive desires!

Give it a thinking heart! ,

Veritably, the driving factor behind the great love story –  The way they supported each other right through the start till date , which indubitably till eternity is what LOVE is and what it should be.

Few years back, the couple met with a serious road accident, which made them hospitalized for few days, only to cast its shadow once again in the form of around a year-long hospitalization and a very complex surgery of the Hero, which doctors claimed had a very minute success rate, this whole year, the Heroine was all along the husbands side attending him because the elder son was into Final year of Engineering and the younger one had his 10th Board exams, she cried alone, but never let him see her tears, he wriggled in deep pain, but tried to hide it, though he wasn’t very successful. At the end, he recovered, and it was their love which won, for it stood firm and never bent even with time and fate!

25years and counting, the saga of true & pure love!

This was the love story of my parents, and the other two characters – the notorious ones were ME & my brother (Obvious, isn’t?)

I fall short of words to bring out words to describe  the pellucid love I have ever seen, and I tried my best to do justice, but still “Dil Ki Baatien, Dil Hi Jaanein!”

Goa – âme perdue

Here I am blogging after a long time! Gramercy to Kolkata Bloggers who imbibed the passion again, and this time, I promise my readers mucho..

Statutory Warning : Unlike my previous posts, this post may seem mundane to some who expect a routine travellouge outta this post. Many a words or characters (read heroes!) may seem out-of-mind to some, but this post is a special dedication to my wonderful friends who were partners-in-crime in the Goa trip.

May was when, WhatsApp with all due credits gave me an extra-top-up, planning for a Goa Trip with school pals, Jumpy & prepared myself  totes – Financially,Professionally et al. Finally the day arrived, 12th of June it was – 12:30pm & I was still on the nigh side packing my stuffs (to be honest, the lazy me was busy scouting for a fresh pair of clothes!), all done reached hyderabad airport solid 1hr ahead of time (Thanx to the never-ending warnings of my love!) and hooked on to WhatsApp again – Buggers kept flooding the group with selfies as some of em’ had already reached the resort. Finally, at around 4pm the  airhostess (whom i didnt oggle much as i was woolgathered &  jealous of idiots already at Goa!) declared that we are about to land, Low visibility comeuppance to the cloudy skies tried its best to stifle the beauty of Goa, nevertheless hitched a cab buzzed to  our resort in Candolim . Was greeted by the spooky souls  Ranjit(who in later part of my story goes missing! 😛 ) ,Lattu & Bonney with an unending sense of belongingness & fellowship for lot was up to now! 😀

7  crazy kids-4 activas made their way for a cruise armed with a wired up enthu &  insatiable hunger for fun. Another mondo  soul who missed his plane by a couple of minutes was yet to reach. Not to forget our captain Jack Sparrow bonney  who with his sans pariel navigation skills made us prowl  a couple of extra miles t beyond recall to reach the jetty. Once aboard the ferry to take us to the other end of river mandovi which was the boarding point for the cruise, our ladies (heroines in the making to be precise!) started the selfie delirium to make sure that not a single frame misses them out!  Ensuing  an hour long drama (due credits to Madame Manisha & Sameekshya who made their dads expert photographers by making them click & send their ID proofs again & again!) ,we barged into Deltin Royale cruise, along with Welcome-Late Somu.

Unlimited food & beverages, coupled with we-dont-know-why dance performances by some Videshi Kanyas , unfettered rounds of chortle  later, we were at the Casino Floor, cutting the capers till 3am fully exhausted yet determined to keep the fun rolling at the beaches next day. Way back  (we had  a KNPH kinda scene!) I was about to pop out Somu into the zuari river  who was perched on the back of my Activa hurling abuses with propitious returns from me. An hour later & fully drenched, we called it a day.

Next day, with the addition of one more freak, Binayak, we set out to sift North Goa,  We  begin our sojourn jumping into the roaring Arabian sea at Calangute Beach. with a stubby ear  to the warnings of the life-guards, our team was in dike  spirits fighting valiantly with the seas doloring   loss of 2 sleepers (which  floated to karachi!). Post a retreading saline therapy, we keyed into our activas for the next destination.

Baga Beach was bounteous of a lens’love , wherein we put our cameras to endless clicking (& ofcourse poses!) . Mata Rani Leeza graced us with her avtars, making sure tour planner lattu had captured to the last straw. Much to the umbrage of shopaholic i-will-die-without-shopping Manisha, we set out to the nest destination – Anjuna.

Stranded & Rescued by Binayak (My activa broke down!) &  a repair later, we put off for lunch before moving again.

Anjuna Beach – Arguably one of the striking  beaches with an encompassed  concotion of tranquil locale set against the backdrop of the roaring sea dashing the rocky shore, out-of-luck did away with tag , thanks to our curbed chants of CHILILEEE…

TourPlanner Lattu’s I-Can-Die  love & pining  for the sunset at Dona Paula beach had to make us zip our activas in full-speed only to be left tarrying  & cursing as big-brother Somu was caught by Goa Traffic police on criminal offences (HelmetLessReckLessLicenceLess..), which gave Binayak time for a video-tour cum evening walk on the river Mandovi with Mata Rani Leeza. Meanwhile Bonney & Lady Sameekshya were zipping way ahead of us (however reaching way leter than us all) to Dona Paula.

Finally, we were at  Dona Paula hilltop though missing up the sunset due to clouds had left us no qualms as we supplemented it  with truly romantic posses with Big Brother Somu & my fables of the ghosty love to make Manisha sacrilaging . 😛  A sumptous dinner of local delicacies  like Gaoan Prawn Xacuci , Pamplet Pompretti & the usual butter chicken, we dozed to sleep unfazed by the heavy downpour outside.

Next day, packing off we set out for south goa, but we had to curtail our journey for the rains  & instead we took a detour to Cabo-De-Rama fort, wherein Lattu had a paltry accident on the way. After a lot of PDA & Photo-Ops later, we started up to the last leg of the destination – Miramar Beach.

Miramar Beach insinuated  a painting on canvas, placid & arresting , Miramar nestled amidst palm groves  vamps you to loose yourself . Slacking , we had to wrap up our trip . Baring myself, Somu & Bony, others left on the same night & we caught the flight back the following day bidding adeiu to the reality which now became a distant dream.

1 month later when I sit to blog again after a hiatus, I dedicate this post to my friends who made this trip memorable & a one to long for.

Winters – Bag of memories!

Dear Readers, if you are looking up for some bit of humor, come again another time, your blogger had no  control over the sea of nostalgia with the x-mas nearing up, so here it goes…

Mu uthibini, ete jaldi nuhen…(I wont’ wake up, not so soon!)

My day starts with da above parley with my dad. Had it been some other day, da scene would have been da reverse & i would have been plucked out of my bed without considerable effort by my dad, but come x-mas vacations, i get some ivy-privileges! Lucky me!

With the newspaper in hand, delicate rays of sun peeping like a voyeur  through the windows  & a sumptuous breakfirst of pooris, parathas & other mouth-watering spreads, winter seems like divine benedictions starting with  the day’s kickoff….da entire day is like a mesmirising lullaby under the masquerade of fog till late afternoon, da congenial  evening tea with plate-loads of pakoras & not to forget maggi noodles! Dinners were a top-it-all with the obliteratious Chicken curry, Biriyanis & the like!

Away from the stodgy lectures, semester exams, dismal  hostel food, X-mas holidays were the most sought-after by me! Life swayed at a snails-pace..the only palpable activity of sorts was so-so the most ambrosial – reading up a dozen fictions, devouring mouth-watering delicacies cooked by the world’s finest chef-my mama, brawling up with my brother for the lan cable(a single internet connection both for my lappy & the pc!),neverending talks  & texts with miss special(who hankered for  the winters at my place),watching the desultory snows canvassing the town  in a shade of white, the animated evening gossips with my friends at the school ground, the bike-rides in the hills vrooming with nonpareil excitement – winters gave me truck-loads of excitement…

This winter, my  first ever away from home, life has taken me for a toss – Parathas & Pooris are there – but the aroma of my home & the tastes of motherly love is amiss! I am still tugged in my blanket while typing this post-but the familiar warmth is lacking, internet connection is worthless without my brother to fight over, school-friends in bangalore still pay me a visit- but the amicable environs of the serene school fields is nowhere to be found!…Probably the most monotonous winter ever! With only memories abound, i am gearing up for the solitary countenance, away from my parents, brother, miss special & the  heaven – home!

Readers – Pictures evoke a thousand memories , so here are some special pics of the wonderful winters at my town!

Its my love story – Distance

This may seem as silly as ever, but putting down the saccharine moments of love in a blog actually makes me feel awesome!! After all, even though my posts seem like a bogged down collection of verbiage, but nevertheless , i just cant’ stop myself..

Now, i am in love with probably the best soul in this world – Whats’ next?!

The only major impediment  (dats a gameplay of fate!) is that, she is my junior (academically),  & while i type this post on da last day of my engineering life, she still has got 2 more years to trifle here. I will be pining up for those silly moments i spend with her @ heaven – Burla! We have our coming planned, but its yet again a gap of 5yrs or so ere we tie the knot. I need da spunk to live out this 5yrs without da near conviviality of someone who gave me the myriad happiness of this birth…But she enamors a wonderful quality with her – she vanished all my apprehensions in just da brink of a smile – She said , “Firstly we love each other, & thats above all dear, distances et al; dont account for al all when you are in love & secondly i wont’ ever miss you because you live in my heart, so how come you move away farther from me , haan?!” Now, i am not gasconading about my love or anything as such, But simply put, i just wanna enunciate to all those souls who love someone but dont have the joie de vivre of staying near them, the explication is within us – Our Heart…just peek inside it!!

P.S dear – If you happen to read this post, which you would, dont yell @ me 😛 !! Your words really started working wonders!!

P.S readers – The above line is purely incidental & the writer claims total blame for it whatsoever 😛

Its my love story

There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment.

Dont’ be flabbergasted when you read this post of mine, this really happened & I  couldnt’ help myslef out. My insouciance in life was relflected in my attitude towards the tender word called ‘love’, however i never thought that i would one day fall in love – true love as they say it! But how it happened is a mystery which still eludes  my brain. Now i think you all would ditto to this We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love—true love.”

While i was in school, i was head-over-heels over a girl, who never gave me any other attention apart from the usual – Friendship. Fine, school days over & i joined my engineering, now the real transition started – I was falling in love with any other girl (infact many :-P), a total blatherly self of mine, i would admit to. A girl helped me with the Engineering Drawing in 1st yr – I fell in love with her, to the extent that i plucked up courage to defy my seniors to supply her Chilly Chicken at wee hours of night! Then in 2nd yr, i fell in love again – This time, i became a spendthrift of sorts for the girl to loathe her with expensive B’Day gifts et al, only to be warned by seniors from her school  not to dare-her-a-look! Now, i did cared for my skin. Come 3rd yr – Love again, this time with a girl from another college, who did come to our insti for  a workshop, i pawned my PR skills for getting her earn a valuable Internship, with the phantom hopes that this time, it would clik & i would be committed with this girl! Failure. Next came another , this time i was all out for her with all my might & vigor  Spending nights to prepare DS notes for her, running after some guest faculties again putting my PR skills on the anvil for getting her good grades et al! She did infact became the University Topper (A 10.0 CGPA)…but she rejected me outright! Now, this was the last of all pursuits & its time for a retreat, so i went on to become an abominable FLIRT! Senior,Junior,Teacher, friend, friends’ friend , infact almost all kinda species from the fairer sex were being chased for. But no results boss- Its not my cuppa of Cha!

Now the most unexpected metamorphosis happened in my life – I started falling in love. I clearly rubbished this unwelcome development as yet another infatuation or a unsought chaos making its way into my life! But this was meant to be, &  i am no damn mortal to change God’s will.. I met this girl, for some official work as the sponsorship head of the Spring Fest in 3rd yr. It was around the same time, i was tipping my toes after another gal in my silly pursuits of love (the 10 pointer 😛 ), Her alluring calmness, nervousness coupled with an aura of pristine serenity, led me to exchange a hand of frienship to her ( The decision that i claim my utmost pride for!). Thereafter, we were exchanging smses n a few calls often, not a single of them with any intention of love or related melodramas…But i was headed towards my destiny, i found a never-ending tryst leading me to this girl. I warned myself mentally over a thousand times, to stay put only  on friendship  but i couldnt’ & finally decided to pour my heart to her! Now, chrysalis from her end were also on similar notes & both fell for each other.

Now, we both just stick to one cardinal principle “What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us!”  The only purpose of this post is not meant to ride the high horse on my trails or my love story, rather confess a simple & astounding discovery
” You wont ever & never fall in true love unless until the other heart which beats for you makes way to your life!”..

All said, i pray for all souls to be in love & ward off all pain, hardships & sufferings from life….
